Founded in 2015 by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and commemorated annually on August 28th, the occasion highlights the UAE’s empowerment of Emirati women under this year’s theme, “Inspiring Reality… Sustainable Future”.
