Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, has lit up in purple to mark Emirati Children’s Day on 15th March 2021.
Marking Emirati Children’s Day, Abu Dhabi’s Early Childhood Authority (ECA) is organizing the inaugural World Early Childhood Development (WED) Forum in partnership with its Visionary Partner Mubadala on 15th and 16th March 2022, at Yas Island’s Yas South Skate Park. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, over 250 world-leading policy influencers, academics, practitioners, and innovators from multiple sectors will participate during the forum.
Emirati Children’s Day was adopted to coincide with the launch of the Wadeema Law on 15th March 2016, which aims to raise awareness on safeguarding children’s rights so that they can grow in a healthy, safe and supportive environment that assists their development.
To support the cause and demonstrate Yas Island’s commitment to a safe and entertaining destination for children, a wave of purple enveloped attractions across Yas Island including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, CLYMB™ Abu Dhabi, Yas Plaza Hotels, as well as Etihad Arena and W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island. In addition, a Fun Run is happening on March 16th as part of the WED Forum, organized by Abu Dhabi’s Early Childhood Authority (ECA) and Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), in partnership with Mubadala and Mubadala Health,.
