SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi inspires Protection of the Arabian Gulf through ‘Admission with a Mission’ Initiative

Guests visiting SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi—the World’s Largest Indoor Marine Life Theme Park—now have the chance to enjoy an educational and entertaining day out while also supporting to ongoing research, rescue and conservation efforts through its new ‘Admission with a Mission’ initiative. Starting November 25th, in celebration of UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad, visits to SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will support the vital work of the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center, emphasizing SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s commitment to marine conservation, Arabian Gulf protection, and guest enrichment through marine life education.

Guests can explore the eight immersive realms within the park, featuring a myriad of marine animals and more than 75 interactive rides and experiences. Highlights include close-up encounters with diverse species and educational presentations designed to inspire a commitment to ocean preservation. At SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s Animal Care Center, guests can observe animal health checks and medical treatments, led by a dedicated team of over 100 veterinarians, scientists, animal care specialists and educators passionate about animal welfare and education.

As the largest dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center in the region, the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center is committed to rescuing and rehabilitating injured marine animals, underscoring SeaWorld’s focus on animal welfare and conservation.

In 2023, the Center signed agreements with New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) for joint marine research efforts. In addition to another strong partnership with The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) that supports the rescue, rehabilitation and return of injured animals that need medical aid with multiple success stories to date. The latest was the rescue, rehabilitation and return of 10 flamingos that were injured during a storm at Al Wathba Wetland Reserve.

The Center is equipped with cutting-edge research laboratories, an aquaculture facility, a veterinary hospital, a shared necropsy facility, rescue pools, a clinic and a specialized rescue fleet—all aimed at providing expert care to rescued animals and advancing marine conservation efforts.
