Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading curator of magnetic experiences, announced today that its Yas Bay Waterfront development on Yas Island will open to guests on 1 December 2021. Overlooking the glittering waters of the Arabian Gulf, Yas Bay Waterfront is set to be Abu Dhabi’s vibrant day to night destination.
Featuring Pier71, a three-kilometre Boardwalk, and twelve world-class dining, leisure and entertainment brands on opening, Yas Bay Waterfront will complement the already exciting offerings at Yas Bay, including Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Hotel, and Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi’s first-of-its-kind multi-purpose, indoor entertainment venue.
Gurjit Singh, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, said: “The opening of Yas Bay Waterfront is another proud milestone for Yas Island. This new development supports our vision for Yas Island to become a global destination for entertainment, leisure and business, as well as an attractive location for partnerships and investment opportunities. We are looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Yas Bay Waterfront to enjoy the exceptional experiences and distinctive international concepts on offer.”
The vibrant and premier destination will feature world-class dining concepts, including Café del Mar – the world-famous Ibiza Beach Club, known for its ambience, music, and Mediterranean cuisine; Paradiso, a globally renowned Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Nicole Rubi, the woman behind La Petite Maison and Michelin star Chef Pierre Gagnaire, and critically acclaimed Japanese street-food concept, Akiba Dori.
Complementing the growing and diverse F&B offerings are a series of exciting concepts on Pier71 that are open to welcome guests. These include the trilogy by Budha Bar – Zeera, Bushra, Siddharta Lounge Hunter and Barrel, The Lighthouse, La Carnita, Daikan Ramen, Lock Stock and Barrel, and Asia Asia. Several other concepts will also open by year end, including Emmy Squared, Drop Café, and family-friendly venue Central. With Pier71 and Boardwalk line-up near complete, two units are held in reserve for one-of-a-kind concepts.
The unique aesthetic of Yas Bay Waterfront offers stunning uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf which further offsets a series of bespoke artwork commissioned to enrich the design of the destination. International artists such as Beastman, Fatspatrol, Monkeybird, as well as Supakitch and Coralie have curated exclusive pieces, with inspiration taken from the local culture, history, and environment, and Abu Dhabi’s distinguished architecture.
In celebration of the Yas Bay Waterfront opening, guests can expect an exciting line-up of entertainment, activations, events such as DJ Nights, parades, musical performances every day, along with fireworks set to take place on the weekends at 9PM throughout the month of December
This will also be in parallel with a series of much anticipated events that will be taking place such as the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 at Yas Marina Circuit, the upcoming FINA World Swimming Championship, and the festive season on Yas Island including the annual New Year’s Eve celebration.
Yas Bay Waterfront is being developed as part of Miral’s AED 4 billion investment in the overall AED 12 billion masterplan of Yas Bay. The Yas Bay Waterfront area will offer visitors further enriched experiences and choice on Yas Island and is one of three distinct areas with the others being; Residences at Yas Bay and Yas Creative Hub. Once complete, Yas Bay is set to attract 15,000 future residents and over 10,000 business professionals.
