Chief Projects Officer
Mohammed Younus is a veteran civil engineer with over three decades of experience and a deep understanding of development, project management and construction. As the Chief Projects Officer of Miral, Mohammed has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership in the completion of complex, groundbreaking projects, playing a pivotal role in bringing these ambitious visions to life.
He leads the delivery of world-class leisure and entertainment experiences that enrich Abu Dhabi and is known for his ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Most recently, he oversaw the completion of teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, adding to a portfolio that features some of the emirate’s most iconic experiences such as Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, to name a few. Mohammed has also overseen the development of Yas Bay Waterfront and the state-of-the-art Etihad Arena; and is leading the delivery of the highly anticipated Natural History Museum, which will serve as a vital education and research hub, showcasing the region’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage.
Prior to his role at Miral, Mohammed held key leadership positions in leading organisations in the Middle East, where he consistently delivered exceptional results across a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects, including infrastructure development, power generation, and petrochemical complexes. At Aldar Properties, he served as Senior Project Manager for Yas Waterworld, Yacht Club and Yas Plaza Hotels. During his time at Al Jaber Energy Services, Mohammed was in charge of managing critical projects such as the ASAB Gas Development (AGD II), Onshore Gas Development (OGD III), Abu Dhabi Airport Terminal 2, Fujairah Water & Power Project, and Borouge Petrochemical Complex. Mohammed also worked with the leading organization NESMA and partners for more than 10 years in KSA.
Mohammed Younus holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Bangalore University, India, and is a Chartered Engineer (MIE). He is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the USA and the Institution of Engineers in India.
