Farid Al Qaiwani is Miral’s Chief Commercial Officer, leading its commercial strategy and operations. With over 25 years of experience, Farid brings a wealth of expertise in strategic procurement, supply chain management, and operational excellence, driving cost efficiency and implementing industry best practices.

He specialises in aligning strategic procurement and supply chain performance with organisational growth. Farid has a strong track record for managing procurement strategies for multimillion-dollar portfolios across diverse sectors, including aviation, IT, construction, marketing & sponsorships, transportation, as well as warehouse and logistics, negotiating high-value contracts, enhancing supplier relationships, and mitigating risks.

Prior to joining Miral, Farid served as Vice President of Group Procurement and Logistics at Emirates Airlines, overseeing non-aircraft procurement. His leadership was instrumental in achieving significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency for Emirates Airlines Group. He also held roles as Procurement Manager – Aircraft Purchases at Emirates Airlines, and earlier as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. Farid also led numerous digital transformation and digitisation programmes and previously served as a member of the Executive Committee of Emirates Group Procurement Policy and the Emirates Group Shared Services Committee.

Farid holds an MBA – Strategy from Strathclyde Business School and a Higher Diploma in Aircraft Avionics Engineering from the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai. He has also completed several leadership programs, including the Global Business Consortium Programme at London Business School, the Emirates Executive Leadership Development Programme at Cranfield University, and the INSEAD Executive Programme.
