Azzah AlSharhan

Chief Group Human Resources Officer

Azzah AlSharhan is the Chief Group Human Resources Officer at Miral, leading the Human Resources function and driving the people strategy that supports performance, leadership capability, and long-term talent sustainability, in line with Miral’s strategic direction and growth priorities.

With more than 25 years of experience across the public, private, and community sectors, Azzah is a senior human capital and corporate affairs leader with a strong track record in transformation, governance, and national workforce development. She has played a key role in the establishment, scaling, and transformation of institutions across the UAE, delivering measurable impact across performance, culture, and workforce capability.

Prior to joining Miral, Azzah served as Senior Advisor at Dubai Future Foundation, where she also held the roles of Chief Agility Officer and Chief of Corporate Affairs. She led corporate strategy across human resources, finance, legal, and technology functions, and supported the scaling of operations, culture, and innovation agendas. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at a federal authority, the Community Development Authority, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Azzah also served as Director of the Emirates Nationals Development Programme at The Executive Office, supporting the employment of UAE Nationals in the private sector. Across her career, she has led the recruitment and development of more than 5,000 UAE nationals, overseen leadership and scholarship programmes, and driven transformation across sectors including cybersecurity, nuclear energy, hospitality, and financial services. Earlier roles include senior human resources positions with Shell, HSBC Bank Middle East, and Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO).

In addition to her executive responsibilities, Azzah serves as a Board Member at Emirates Transport and Emirates National Facilities Management, and chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. She has also served on the Board of Governors of the Emirates Academy and contributed to national advisory initiatives focused on youth development, women’s leadership, and workforce nationalisation.

Azzah holds a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Cranfield School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from UAE University.
